About our editor: Dr. Pasley is Professor Emeritus, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where he was Professor of Physiology/Biophysics and Associate Dean for Educational Advancement in the College of Medicine. He currently lectures part-time at the University of Missouri Kansas City Health Sciences Campus. He received his Ph.D. in Physiology from Oregon State University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He has been actively involved in medical education for over 40 years and has received a number of teaching awards including a Master Teacher Award from UAMS College of Medicine. He is a former course director for Medical Physiology and for USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 and MCAT exam preparation courses at the UAMS College of Medicine.
