The system won’t let me log in.
There could be a number of reasons for this. If you are receiving an error message, contact Customer Service at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If nothing happens when you enter your email address and password, you may need to clear their browser cache (use the browser tool bar). If you are receiving a message “your login and password do not match our records” make sure you are using you registered email address, and retype your password. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , make sure you include your name as it is registered to the system.

I am being asked for payment.
If you are using Exam Master® through your institutions subscription, you have either registered to the wrong portal, or your account is expired. Contact Customer Service at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to request your account to be transferred to the correct portal. Please include your email address and your name in the email to Customer Service.

System says I am already registered.
You have previously registered to Exam Master®. If you have never registered to Exam Master ®, it is possible that your portal administrator or a faculty member has already registered your email address. If you need a password click “Forgot Password link. If you had previously registered to another portal, contact Customer Service to transfer your account. Contact Customer Service at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , please be sure to include their name and email address with the correct portal you need to access.

System tells me my computer is not authorized.
Error message “UNAUTHORIZED INTERNET CONNECTION” is the result of IP restrictions on the portal. You need to access the portal using proxy servers, or authorized internet connection. Contact your portal administrator for assistance with Proxy Servers.

I can’t find created exams.
Previously created exams can be found under the My Exams tab. Exams expire after 60 days and may not be accessible.

I was assigned an exam and can't find it.
he user should check with the assigning faculty member to be sure that they are included in the class list, they are using the user account associated with the email address that received the assignment, verify that the exam was assigned and/or that the student is not trying to access the assignment prior to it opening per the faculty time/date parameters set.

I had the assigned exam, but now I can't find it.
Assigned exams will disappear when it is completed, or when the allotted time determined by the faculty member is up. You need to contact assigning faculty to check on exam status.

How do I access my scores?
The assigning faculty determines if you can obtain assigned exam scores. To access scores, click on “My Scores” tab. By clicking on the exam name you open the topic/subject breakdown for that exam (unless the exam was faculty authored questions). Clicking on the Exam Summary link allows you to review a summary of topic/subject breakdown by exam type. 

The system won't let me create any more exams.
You have used up all the questions in the data base. You can choose to allow repeat questions when you create exams, or contact Customer Service at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and request that their exams be reset.

The system won't let me access the exam again, but it is still available.
You have run out of test and/or study minutes on the exam. If the exam was assigned by faculty, you will need to contact the assigning faculty to enable additional minutes. If the exam was self created using EM OnLine®, contact Customer Service at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to ask for additional time. You will need to include the Exam ID #, the name of the exam and the email address used to access Exam Master®

How do I change my password or other information?
Log into EM OnLine®, go to My Account (at the top right) > My Info and choose the link to what you wish to change.

What are practice exams?
These are shelf exams created to mimic the actual board exam, as far as number of questions, type of question and percentage of each subject.

How do I create exams?
Click on the New Exams tab, and then choose the outline you wish to use. You can choose specific categories to study if you desire. 

I haven't received my password email.
Check your email spam folder. Click “Forgot Password” link to have it resent, or contact Customer Service at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If you still did not receive the email and are using your institution’s email address, check with your portal administrator to see if exammaster domain is permitted.

It shows my account is expired.
Your access has been terminated due to prolonged inactivity or at faculty/administration request. Contact your portal administrator.

Why is there an expiration date on my account?
Your account automatically takes the expiration date of your institution’s subscription. These expiration dates are automatically updated with the renewal of the subscription.

It won't let me print.
Due to licensing, there is no print feature allowed.

Why does my Internet seem slow?
There are many factors that can cause the Internet to slow down. Before a page shows on your monitor, the route the data follows can be a long route.
Internet connections could route pieces of the page over slower connections once the server sends the page.
Interference to the connection could be on another line in your home, at the phone company, or at the cable company.
If your computer is multi-tasking, such as running a print job, the loading of the page on your machine may take longer.
It is not always possible to determine why the time varies that it takes to view a web page. Being a shared resource, the internet requires a great many pieces to work together. Different brands, makes, and models of computers, cables, fiber optics, and satellite links must all mesh together to deliver the web page. So, as you can see, there is no simple answer.
